Privacy Notice

www.protectapole.com understands the value of privacy, and will therefore only use the information you give us to process your order and provide a quick and convenient service to you in the future. We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the data protection act 1988).

We do not sell mailing lists to other companies, or divulge any of your personal details to other companies or individuals. We will not email you in the future unless you have given your consent. If after giving your consent, you decide you no longer wish to receive emails from www.protectapole.com, you can withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email stating this.

We do not store customers credit card details - We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us, again stating your requirements If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly as appropriate or as requested.

The personal information, which we hold, will be held securely in accordance with our our security policy and the law. We may use technology to track the patterns of behavior of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings. This may save time when logging in during your next visit, however disabling cookies will not stop you from doing so.

We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).

All credit card transactions are handled by PAYPAL or on a secure server using a minimum of SSL/128-bit encryption.

If you have any questions/comments about privacy, you should contact us. Any personal details are stored on a secure 3rd Party Web Server [Namely RomanCart] Payment processing takes place on a Secure 3rd Party Server [Namely PayPal].

Delivery And Handling Details

Delivery - Including Overseas Delivery. Postage and Packaging Charges are for within mainland UK and will normally be within 1 to 5 working days (maximum of 28 days) from time of order, for Overseas deliveries please contact us for arrangements prior to ordering. Where delivery cannot be made within the target time, you will be contacted and made aware of any delays.

Notwithstanding small items that will fit through a letterbox, in which case a standard Royal Mail delivery with proof of posting will be used, deliveries must be signed for on receipt, when no signature is obtainable the courier will return the goods to the depot nearest to yourself, and a further attempts will be made to deliver the goods on the following days, if there is still no person to receive the goods they will be taken back to the nearest depot and retain for approximately one week. The order can be collected from the depot with proof of attempted delivery, or utility bill and photo ID. If the goods are to be delivered again then a charge may be made by the courier collected by us, this charge is only incurred when the customer requests a further delivery, to avoid this charges just contact the local depot and call in person to collect the parcel.

Delivery Charges are as follows

  • £0.01 to £9.99 - £1.95. 1st class
  • £10.00 to £45.00 - £3.75 1st class recorded
  • £45.01 to no limit - £6 Next day tracked (Special Delivery)

Making A Purchase
To make a purchase just browse around our site, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on View Basket and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to process your order. You will be presented with a number of payment options.

Cancellations

Cancellations can be made at any time after an order has been placed, all cancellations must be made by using the secure Contact Us form giving details and your order number.

Cancellations made, after orders have been dispatched (after dispatch e-mail has been sent) may be subject to a return carriage charge.

Returns, Replacement, Refunds Policy

Returning goods should always be arranged by contacting us first. Please do not return goods with out first contacting ourselves.

Returning goods which have been damaged on delivery must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the order. These will be collected by our couriers and replacement sent through.

Returning faulty goods, contact ourselves with the details of the product which is faulty and details of the fault. We will contact you in return with the correct procedure and manufacturer warranty details of that product. Goods will be replaced subject to a manufacturer inspection and finding of a manufacturing flaw.

Returning non faulty goods may be done so within 30 days of receipt of the order. Goods must be in new condition and in original packaging in order to obtain a full refund. Return of non faulty goods is done at customers own cost.

Sizing, Fitting & Usage Disclaimer

Fitting & Installation - Whilst every effort is made to ensure the perfect fit for your pole, fitting protect a pole cones to any existing tackle item remains at the risk of the tackle item owner. Protect A Pole takes no responsibility for any damage caused during fitting or thereafter ie whilst fishing or otherwise.

Customer Measurements - We accept no responsibility for the accuracy of customer measurements. Cones will not replace as a result of customer measurement errors when a cone has been made to the specification requested.
